I just bought a 2017 1500 with the 8.4 Uconnect. Every time I start it, the instrument cluster is on a different page. For instance, it will be on the fuel menu at shutdown and next startup it may be on one of the trip pages or engine pages. This is a minor annoyance but I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and whether there is a known fix. Thanks.

According to a few people i know who’ve had this, the only thing that seems to work is either disconnecting the battery, or cluster replacement. It’s normal either way, just a inconvenience.

As TheEnder stated it seems to happen in some trucks but it's not normal. The speedometer is supposed to remember what screen it's on just like your radio stays on the same screen and settings. My 14 with the small 3.5" screen used to do the same thing. I upgraded to the 7" speedometer and it stopped. It is an annoyance but other than trying the battery disconnect or speedometer reset which usually doesn't change anything the only fix is replacing the speedometer and hoping you get one that doesn't do it.

Every once and a while the 7" cluster in mine reverts back to the speedometer page on startup. Mildly annoying, but nowhere near what you're describing. I sometimes wonder if it's a static buildup from my sheepskin steering wheel cover triggering one of the buttons.
