Hey guys,

Just curious on this, I'm running a custom Procharger made tune in my Diablo Intune i2 and I can adjust most changeable parameters fine like top speed, throttle booster, MDS and such. However, every time I try to turn off the traction control, the update attempt fails for some reason.

I do have a TC button on the truck and I can hold it down to turn off the stability system as well, but I'm not sure that it's actually turning off since this 470HP/470ftLb supercharged truck can't even spin the wheels on a full throttle take off without using the brake.

This isn't a big deal since most of the time I leave TC on, but it would be nice to be able to turn it all the way off for the occasional showing off ;)

Thanks

Is it asking you to do the key cycle when you go to deactivate the TC? There was a bug that did the same thing when changing tire size but if you didn't do the key cycle it would register it just fine but if you did the key cycle it would show an error and freeze the programmer.

The TC button doesn't do anything for helping with burnouts unfortunately since it doesn't actually disable the traction control like people think. I would talk with your tuner because they should be able to disable the traction control in the tune and then it's not an issue after that.

Just tried it again, but it doesn't ask for the key cycle, it just goes straight to the "Failed to update traction control" error.

If I did have it changed in the actual tune from procharger, would I still be able to turn it off and on via the button or would it just be off all the time?

Sounds like an issue for the DS forum, have a look on there first then ask if you don't see an answer.

Yea, I emailed them and will see what they say; I'll let you guys know.

BTW charonblk07, I would be interested in seeing some pics of your truck if you have some :D

Same problem for me

IIRC in the Diablo forum they mentioned that they are working on the issue.

You can ask HF to give you a tune with TC disable

Yea, I could have Procharger give me an updated tune with it off, but if I did would I still be able to turn it on/off via the button or would it just be off all the time?

Hmm, in that case maybe I wouldn't want that as I would like to be able to switch it off and on easily for different circumstances; I'll have to think about that. Thanks

If the traction control is disabled in your tune, then it will be off all the time. This is something you would need to take up with Procharger. Diablo simply supplies them with the tuner, and then Procharger loads their tuning on the unit and locks the tuner. They would be the only ones that can help you with this.

Yea, that's what Diablo just told me as well. I think I will just have Procharger make me a couple tune files, one with TC on and one with it off, so I can switch back and forth when needed.

Thanks

I had Procharger send me a tune with TC and stability systems off, but surprisingly it still doesn't spin the rear wheels on take off without using the brakes. This seems kind of odd considering the 470rwhp/470ftlbtq it's putting down. Even tried pulling the ABS fuse as a test to make sure everything was off, same performance. Guess at this elevation I will just have to keep adding more power to get to that point.

That is weird. My truck with bolt ons will spin the tires at will...

Yea, only thing I can think of is that it's because of the elevation and that the supercharger needs higher RPMs to make full power I guess, not really sure though. Hopefully after the water/methanol kit and long tube headers upgrades my low-end will improve.
