JBA Long Tube Headers!

That's why I bought his JBA' shorties. Wanted to see if it caused any drone before I dumped $1000 + for the SW's.

I don't have any drone on mine unless I was playing with the throttle boost. Next to none with the 85MM and a 91 tune through out the rpm ranges.

I'll give you a heads up once I get a chance to install them. Work and life keep getting in the way. I have the new gaskets and bolts all sitting there... just have to find the time with my other projects.

I was in no rush as I really like how the Stainless Works Cat back sounds now without them, but the header delay is pushing back my data logging for the Hemifever tune. The winter roads didn't help either.

I can tell you to save your money,

I bought JBA shorty headers two years ago,
only gained about 8 WHP and lost a little Torque (Dyno tested)

My track times never improved over stock manifolds, until I bought a supercharger.
I've been drag racing my Ram since 2010 and make about 100 passes per season.

To upgrade JBA Shorties to JBA Long Tubes for less than $100 is a no brainer (IMHO)

Last Fall Matt had a set of catless ARH's lined up for me,
but my trans took a dump twice within 2 weeks and put my plans on hold.
I was just about to call him again now that Winter is almost over and it's time to get
the trans rebuilt and ready for track season again when the JBA's showed up at less than half price!

If you don't need cats (for a yearly inspection) and have a Diablo tuner (Hemifever etc.) to tune out the rear o2 sensors , the JBA long tubes are the best bang for the buck exhaust upgrade you can do.

I'll let you know if 1 7/8 is a big deal vs 1 3/4. I went with 1 7/8 cause size mattersDifferent system tho.

Thanks Mike. These first 3 sets we had are gone now, but we have 8 more on the way. We went ahead and bought all the ones that JBA had in stock, and they said that they will start another run depending on the demand. I still have yet to add these to the website, but I plan to complete this tonight. The ceramic coated JBA longtubes will be $719 and the Bare stainless are $569.

We should have 2 sets of bare stainless and 1 each of the ceramic coated next week. JBA said the other 4 sets that we ordered may be a few weeks out. If you are looking for these headers, let me know so that you can grab 1 of the 4 that are on the way.

We bought everything that they had. They said they are going to make more, but it will all depend on how much demand there is for these. The more demand they see, the faster they will start making more. We ordered 8 sets on Monday, but they only had 4 left in stock. They said they are not going to make the other 4 for us until they see the demand increase, so I cant give an exact timeline for when we will have more.

And they have not made any mention of making a 1 3/4" setup. If you are wanting 1 3/4", then there is always ARH and Vararam is getting very close on theirs. I am dropping my truck off at Vararam's shop next week for them to install a set on my truck and build a new Y-pipe that will fit both the 2wd and 4wd trucks. The Y-pipe they originally designed did not clear my transfer case, and they don't want to release these until they have 1 kit that fits all the trucks.
