I may need some info off of ya!

I never did send mine back, FedEx had way too many hoops to jump through,
so I found someone just blocks away from the FedEx depot (thanks to MGRAM's i-phone and Kijiji)

My L&M has been completely rebuilt by a local builder who does a similar build,
MGRAM has had his L&M redone there as well just last weekend (under warranty through MGH at L&M)
after it failed at the track and left him stranded after just a few passes.

Rob at Iconic Driveline Solutions
Brand New shop is based in Acheson, 418 Ellis Drive.

780-996-2306

Tell him Mike and Brad sent you.

He charged me $2300 for a total rebuild,
several 68RFE (Diesel trans upgrades) and a shift kit
cut, cleaned and re-welded my ATS torque converter,
repainted case and TC, all new fittings, sensors and seals, frictions and bearings
and he even came over to my house and quick-learn flashed it with his scanner/programmer after I installed.

3 year / 100k warranty

He can do installs too, new shop with a brand new hoist just setup on Monday
if you don't like DIY driveway install like MGRAM and I have done (6 times....so far lol)

Its killing me how great those tires look on your truck. Aggressive, but not too much. What the heck are they? They look very similar to the size I run. Do yours rub at a full turn? Just barely?

They are 305/50R20 Nitto Terra Grapplers, 12.2" wide x 32.2" tall,
about as wide as you can mount on a stock sport wheel without rubbing on a 4x4. (My 4x4 is dropped, Ground Force 2/3)

DynoTune2012022.jpg

But although they look great, only lasted about 25k miles, pretty bad for a tire that cost more than $400 ea in Canada.

pic next to one of my drag radials when they were still fairly new...

pic I shot of my Terra Crappler last summer at just 36k kms (just over 22k miles)

TerraCrappler_zps64ea7f32.jpg

Knowing these will never see another Winter, (parked it last Winter)
I went tire shopping a couple weeks ago and found a good replacement for just $260 ea.

newshoes3_zpsfcb81be7.jpg

General Grabber AT2's , snow peak rated, winter stud ready,
Same size but treadwear warranty rated for 96k kms (60k miles) 16/32's tread depth, weigh in at 50lbs ea.
I saved a crap load of $$$ and even had enough left over for a new set of 14' Sport wheels someone removed right at the dealership from new.

newshoes_zps7ec4b775.jpg

While I'm waiting for a new set of TPMS sensors to arrive (ebay $69 for all 4)
I'm trying to decide whether to powdercoat or plasti dip them.
But I popped a rim inside the new rubber just to see how it looked and I kind of like the chrome now...

Looks great! I hadn't thought about popping by the dealer to see if anyone had swapped rims like that, but I might have to now! I like those rims much better than the chrome clad on my '10.

I had to plasti dip my 10' Chrome Clads cuz they started flaking and peeling after just one Winter.

Nice design but totally ruined by going to chrome clad vs polished aluminum like my 04' Sport had.
...at least back then you had an option for polished or clad.

I loved the new Sport wheels when they first showed up on the 13's
Best looking stock wheel in years! I put one on the scale already, just 33lbs.

MGRAM had his Wife's 13' Sports wheels powdercoated gloss black for $100 ea,
looks killer, but I think I'm going to stay away from the all black for a while.

Here's another option a guy on DT did with plastidip
did the black first then a few layers of clear to give it a glossy finish

I like the black and chrome...I thought about removing the chrome cladding and having them powdercoated white. I agree, the design isn't so bad, it is the cheap looking plastic cladding that kind of ruins it for me.

I really do like those new sport wheels you got though, especially at 33# each! Nice score!

That is crazy fast for a tire to go. I can see why you would wanna get something rated for longer this go round. The new ones look great too. I do dig the chrome, but for my taste, the black on black always looks killer. Im biased though. The chrome and black looks pretty cool as well. And different too. Which is nice.
