Damn, I'm a little jealous. I'm still waiting for my first track night with the truck. Just a little bit more and you'll be in the 12s... get on it, lol.
Ok, nvm, that's a smoking deal for a round trip. I was quoted $300 one way with ODL when I was looking to ship my core back and Mike found one local for the same price so I just paid that. I truly am blown away by how helpful Mike's been with you, I don't think at this point anybody would blame him for charging you for anything else. Personal service is better than any warranty.
I was going to have him just quote me a price on a new one,
but we decided it would be easy enough to have him just rebuild this one.
I imagine I'll be on the hook if it needs major work, but it should just be bearings.
We have been sharing the blame without really pointing fingers from the first build.
I had to wait almost two months for my tuning, he told me it would be okay to run without tuning
and without a quick learn, that proved to be wrong.
I was partially to blame for not leaving parked until then,
May have romped on it too soon and froze one disc to the OD hub.
After I threw a code for incorrect gear ratio 4th gear, He told me it would just need OD frictions to rebuild and that I could DIY instead of shipping it thousands of miles.
He would supply the frictions so all it would cost me is my time, filters and fluid.
He was right in that it was only the over drive frictions, but he short shipped me by 2 (received 12 instead of 14 discs) so I had to wait another two weeks.
We then found out that we were wrong that I could rebuild it myself.
I managed to screw it up twice...once on his trans, then my stocker.
So now it's going back to him to have it done right, hopefully for the last time.
One thing for sure though,
Mike goes way above and beyond to make things right.
Even if he does end up charging me for more than just the shipping,
it would be better than getting gouged by a local shop.
