so at my college I like to back in to my spots, so to help me know how far I was picked this backup sensor dewhicky from autozone for 20 bucks. I was gonna get the camera but figured why pay for a extra screen when down the road I'm getting a double din I can wire a camera to.

mounted on a bumper bracket, that's the power box and transmit the sensors signal.

ha to get creative with mounting because when on the liscense plate the sensors were picking up that flat part of the bumper. so unscrewed the bolts and bent the sensor brackets and mounting them with those bumper bolts.

they kinda blend in with the hitch but I think they look kinda neat in that spot lol
here's the thing working, shows feet, and beeps louder as you get closer and the colors light up according. green, yellow, red. each sensor has its own side of LEDs.
has worked really well so far.

yeah pretty we'll spent 20 bucks. I'll get a better picture later today of the sensors. all you have to do it mount, use the connects to power the module with the reverse wires, mount power box, mount the Reciever inside and wire it to the battery or they even include a 12v power outlet thingy you could use to power it.

so far 2 thumbs up

iv tested it a few times and it seems pretty damn accurate to me.

It could work on the front, you'd have to figure out how to get power to the control box because your supposed to use the reverse lights, I guess you could wire it to her running lights or a switch or something. you can turn it on or off so she could just turn it on when parking lol

how would this work with backing to mount a trailer?

how far out does the sensor read? like say a low 3' concrete covered pipe at the passengers edge, but just out of mirror view?

I was curious how well it worked to the corners. Not really a big fan of using the hitch receiver as a feeler lol

well I think with skinny objects like a pipe it would have a hard time picking up. it has like a 5 ft span out I think. anythin past that doesn't show. it picks up the cars in the parking lot great. for backing up to a trailer might be better off getting a camera system rather than this lol but it could work I suppose.
