QUOTE=Fubar65;1048837]How easy or hard is it to wire up. I'm not the best with electronics lol.[/QUOTE]

Pretty simple really. power in/power out, ground and a trigger. These relays also have a NC (really a bypass - which allows power to pass through a separate circuit on the relay when off - useful for something like hi and low beams).

Depending on where you locate them, you won't need weatherproof ones. Plain old relays work just fine - that's what even comes on the Rigid harness anyways.

Agreed if you mount the relays inside the cab, (which IS the recommendation by Rigid btw). Anywhere exposed to weather or humidity they should be weatherproof(ed) or enclosed/sealed somehow, otherwise it's only a matter of time until Mr Corrosion gets to 'em.

I've been installing the Rigid ones in the engine bay for years and even with all the salt on the roads here from our brutal winters I've never had any issues. Just have to think about the location under the hood and keep it higher up and protected. If sealing them I'd imagine you have to be pretty sure on that seal, otherwise water will get in and not be able to escape fast enough which will lead to accelerated corrosion. Relays are cheap anyways but if you can get weatherproof ones cheap then might as well use em.

Just a heads up. Installed my sidetracked led pods today and didn't need a relay on my 2015.

Anyone find a way to use these and still have the front cover from the stock fogs?

One of the first modes I am going to do is get a set of Rigid Lamps and replace the OEM Fog Lamps.

Well guys, I ended up pulling my LED fog cubes off. Went back to the stock housings for that OEM look but put in a 7200lm LED bulb kit (3600lm / bulb) and they are BRIGHT! Plug and play install. Way brighter and a more cleaner look IMO than the LED cubes were. It was 99$ for the kit. Just an option for yall if you want to keep the OEM look but have high quality, bright LEDs instead.

Used the fog pattern ones as AUX reverse lights under my rear bumper and sold the two spot beams lol

No, no problems. Just didn't really care for the look and output. My LED bulbs that I have in now, I literally don't even need my HID headlights anymore with them on. Angle the lights low as to not blind oncoming traffic and you can just run them. They're great

Ok just curious. I've seen a few reports of funky things happening when people replace bulbs with LEDs.

Doesn't the new Trucks come with an LED headlight option?

I think only audi has a LED headlights at the moment. Ram doesn't.

I talked to my dealer, asked about ordering LED head lights.(premium projector type) Come standard on 2015 Power Wagon and above body styles.

No, no they don't. Those are LED running and turn signal lights, not the actual headlights. The headlights are still crappy halogen.

I can only go by what the Fleet Manager from the dealership I am dealing with is telling me. So far he is the only Car Dealer or Salesman that has been honest with me. Go figure. I am ordering a new 2016 Ram 2500HD, She Who Must be Obeyed spotted a 3500 Ram today so we may change which truck. Also Dealer allocation for the 2016 trucks will be available in the next 5 to 7 working days. I think after the 15th.

Can bus issue with fogs?

Im thinking of ordering up the kit to do this very mod myself but with the canbus system on these dodges, do you need to add anything special or can I just run my fog/spot combo on each side and wire it into the factory fog lamp plug? the amp draw is relatively the same with wattage being almost identical but I thought I would ask anyways. Rather know now before I pull the trigger!

From what I've read on many forums it's straight plug and play with the new harness. I've heard some people mention adding a really but the majority has reported having no issues.
