Has anyone changed this bulb out with success of not throwing a code or light staying on without a diode/resistor??

Stay away from cheap chinese LED bulbs. I'd recommend to go with either Diode Dynamics or LasFit LED bulbs. Not saying all others are crap, but lots of people have complained about issues with the cheaper bulbs in other Ram forums, especially the 3rd brake light bulbs.

10% off right now or use their site to look up the LEDs you need and then price compare with their Amazon prices. They are inexpensive but last...have had them in my truck with zero issues, just installed in another family truck with zero issues and have numerous coworkers who have been running them much, much longer than me and no issues.

Great bulbs and fantastic customer service if you prefer to call them. Also, they have plenty of videos and instructions on their website and YouTube. Purchase from a high quality, high volume manufacturer and not some low volume outfit just out to take your money.

I bought mine at the local Oreiley auto parts. I think it was Sylvania and it worked great. While you have the light out make sure you add a better rubber gasket to prevent leaks. Its a common area for leaks
