^Nice truck but you must chew through front end parts lol.

Im pretty sure you're not supposed to stack spacers on aftermarket lift coils to btw.

Thanks, and to be completely honest, ive had it 3 years, and until now the ONLY thing I've had to do besides oil changes etc. is replace a stuck t-stat... you can prob see in the front end pics that ball joints and rod ends are ready but for being as old as they are and standing up to a 17 y.o. thrashin on it all summer last year im surprised the whole front end hasn't just fallen out lol. I've got all the rod ends and ball joints but after everything I've read here id be stupid not to go to the 3/4 ton set up... right?

And as far as the spacer & coil stack go, as long as the bottom of the spacer is formed to match contours on the top of the coil, and the shock stroke is right I don't see any harm in it... I could be wrong but its been thru some very serious off roading and never caused any trouble.

Now I could see a DEFINATE problem if it were a leaf sprung front and someone decided to lift it with blocks lol

I find that hard to believe, what size tires are those 35's? I had 35's 3 months and it literally f'ed my front end.... Yes you are right 3/4 ton front axle and rear axle are definitely necasarry for a lift with tires that size on it. Motorwise not surprised haha these magnums are tough!

Well the aftermarket coils spring ratings dont take those spacers into account. Skyjacker actually VOIDS warrentys if you stack one of their lift springs with a spacer. I donno, Im not sure on the whole thing. Ive heard from its no different then stacked blocks to its perfectly fine lol. Myself Im no fan of spacers haha and probably wouldnt do it.

Agreed lol, nothing bothers me more then that.

Haha, right on lol.

Tires are 315/75 16... with about 28k on them. They were wearing pretty well till the boy got hold of it... he pretty much burned the back ones off so I just bought the new Hercules in a 315 as well. Back ones are on now and I'll put the fronts on after I get the new steering parts on... the Hercules seem pretty soft so I'm not expecting long life even with a perfect front alignment. But they were over a hundred each cheaper than anything else I could find.

And I wasn't going to admit it, lol, but the spacers were actually a mistake. Install was making me late for a night shift, and the guys I had helping kept at it after I left... they thought it was part of the new kit, but they were actually on truck when I bought it. (No more beer for those guys haha)

Any way, was going to take it all back apart & pull them but after staring at it for an hour or two I decided to try it and see if anything negative developed. That was 3 years ago.

Haha they sound like the tires I have on now, slicks lol. Hercules Trail Diggers or Terra Tracs? Trail Diggers honestly suck, theyre what I have and they wear so easily.... I was told tread life was like 20k miles or something like that. They do grab GOOD though.

Oh really? Well if youve had no issues so far id see no reason to change it. Might as well leave it, it looks great!

They are the trail diggers lol. And I had heard they would wear quick, but $ was an issue at the time and they were on my door step at just under $500. As long as I can make em last till I get the D60/70 combo with some 37's I'll be a happy man.

And seriously, thanks for the info and interaction... I really like having an opinion other than my own sometimes... tunnel vision can be a b#*ch.

Speaking of opinion, can't decide if I like the skid plate... thoughts? uploadfromtaptalk1396564172450.jpg

Whered you get 315/75/16 trail diggers for under $500?? Thats a steal, $1200 for a brand new set of 285/75/17 trail diggers up here (gotta love canadian tire prices). Ive been driving on mine for over a year now, theyre all so f'ed lol, bad track bar wear on the front, slicks on the rear  but I continue to roll on them! They always amaze me with what they take me thru for as bald as they are, its to bad they wear so quick. D60/D70 combo with 37's is my plan, already got my D60 and D70 to :D

No prob man, thats what were here for! :D I hear ya im the same lol. Wheres the skid plate going? Skid plates are always nice to have!

Found tires on eBay, at 3 diff. stores in 3 diff. states lmao. Altogether with shipping it was like 525.

Skid plate is going from bottom of light bar on front bumper down to some brackets I made that bolt in between tow hooks and frame. Whole thing is out getting powder coat right now, so when its done I'll get the LED's put back on it n post some pics :D

Hey sorry it took so long lol... no links, that's how I bought them, 1 each from two different stores & 2 each from another. Shipping was free on all and they all arrived within 10 days. Would've been a lot faster but it was over Christmas.

I've been looking as well and prices have gone up a little... around 235 now, but I would still do it just to park in front of the only local tire shop within a hundred miles of this tiny town... with a great big copy of the receipt posted across the windshield. Crooks quoted me 410 EACH (EACH!!!!! TIRE!!!!!) For a brand of semi-mud terrain I'd never heard of.... when I showed up with the Hercules, they wouldn't mount them cuz they didn't sell them... *****.
