I personally don't buy into the whole 2x4 lowered/4x4 raised bs. It's your truck, you can do with it as you like and no one can tell you otherwise. I, for one, can appreciate both. The only thing that stops me from lowering is not wanting to deal with our flood zones and since I won't fit in the garage if raised, well...I choose leveled, for now :)

We have a 4x4 but only to make sure we have traction in the snow, and towing into/out of camping spots. I'd lower it more if it were practical to tow.
LOWER all the time!!:party36:

JM2C:

Trucks get lifted, cars get lowered. Personally never understood the reasoning behind lowering a truck, but to each his own. :)

I agree with the fact it's your truck. Do what you want with it. I think the lowering/lifting debate has to do with age a little as well. I was all about lowering a truck when I was in high school. Now I'm all about making it so I can drive through a creek, lol.

Lowered for a 2wd and lifted for a 4wd. I just don't like a stock truck.

When you get a week's worth of rain and there's flooded streets everywhere, the fact that I'm not stuck at work makes me be lifted for life.

Its nice never having to worry about where I go or how big that speedbump is. I'm just like, there was a speedbump?

Unless you have to park in parking garages or live in a big city...lol then it may be some worries. None of those around these here parts though! lift fo sho

I'm a fan of both, the Mexican blood flowing through my veins doesn't allow me to buy lift kits though.

I'd like to vote for both!!

Gotta have the best of both worlds!! ;) My 98 2wd is going lower this spring and my 06 4×4 is already levelled and hope to go a little higher someday.

You sir have obviously never heard the saying to low for fat hoes...... I wouldn't lower a 4wd. I wouldnt raise a 2wd but I would put off road tires maybe a size taller for that prerunner look if your into that. I want my 2wd lowered. Each is his on!

There shouldn't be 2wd trucks. Get a minivan if you want 2wd.

Love how these trucks look lowered and I only put 6k miles per year so when I'm home it's only there to work then back on travel again, I have a 2wd seeing how in the navy never around solid rough terrain with a personal vehicle but would never condone anyone to a minivan, definitely should hold your tongue on that one lol.

Chopped coils in the rear for a leveled stance, 2wd quad cab, Express model and planning on a 2/4 maybe modified to lower. Perfect for doing my weekend warrior jobs at home when I get to.

I vote lowered to be different!

I just lowered my '12 rcsb 4wd 2/4"s (which isn't all that drastic on a 4wd).

don't look at it like a lowered 4wd, look at it like an AWD sport vehicle.
It tightens up the handling and will make it so much easier to load stuff into the bed. I will no longer need a ramp set up at a 45* angle to get my m/c in the back.

my father in law laughs that I lowered a 4wd too, he says when he was a kid they would HAVE to lift there 4wd as soon as they got them.......
I just reminded him that we now have paved roads :idiot:

I have to admit, RAMs and GM trucks look pretty good lowered (even though I voted "lifted")

I think Rams look great lowered, not too low though. Just like they look great with a nice lift kit. I can appreciate both.
