Hey folks,
I actually just started an account, having just bought a new to me fully loaded 1/2 ton. I bought a rough country single row curved led light bar. http://www.roughcountry.com/50-inch-...bar-72750.html

I have been having some serious issues finding a suitable mount for above the wind shield. I don't really want to pay above $100 like Addictive Desert Designs and N-Fab are asking. I have found some on ebay and amazon, but they don't really seem to be 100% compatible with my model year. Robot Check

What type of mount have y'all used?

Also, I think I am going to get it professionally mounted. Wiring it shouldn't be a problem, but I am slightly hesitant to drill my own holes. Any advice and experience would be greatly appreciated!

The way the light is mounted and wired is every bit as important as the light itself, don't cheap-out on either.

As for drilling holes, lots of write-ups here and elsewhere. Try youtube.

Measure many times, take a break, come back and measure one more time before you drill. You could do this, easy. lots of how-to and people who would be glad to answer questions here.

Congratulations on your new ride!

Good deal. This is the confidence I need. I think I made a decent choice with the single row rough country for around $350. Think it was marked down from $500. I'll have to read some of those how-to's.

The manufacturers job is to make you feel good about your purchase. As long as you feel like you got your money's worth.. Then thats good for both parties, I suppose.

I agree with sbarron.
