Ok guys just wanted to share a little weekend oil change I did this weekend. First time ever doing an oil flush then change. I've used Liqui Moly products on the truck since 52,000 miles. The truck currently has 105,000.

The last oil additive I used before this was Ceratec which I was happy with. I switched to these because they are new and formulated for truck size engines in capacity.

I'm not claiming I gained hp but I definitely got back lost horsepower! I love it. I have zero idea if your Ram will react the same way mine did but my truck loves it so I wanted to share.

I forgot the rest of the info. :banghead:

Ok. SRT oil filter used.
Mobil 1 5w20 synthetic is the only oil used.
Then the additive by Liqui Moly.

Results. I really do need to record cold and warm starts with this truck. If I didn't mention to readers and listeners that the engine has 105,000 miles you'd never know it by the way it performs.

I'm very happy with the Ram brand and my vehicle

Nice! I got away from using additives many years ago, but got sucked into a deal on some bottles of LiquiMoly MoS2 some months ago.

It kind of scared me how black the stuff is and bit of super slick black goo it left in the dirty side of the oil filter afterwards. I have an oil filter cutter an am nuts enough to open every one I can for examination. LOL.

I then went to LubeGuard BioTech and the illness continues..

I still have my used filter I will cut open soon. Yeah seeing moly mixed with oil the first time. It changes to a gray color oil. I dump the additive into the 5 gallon jug of Mobil 1 to mix before pouring into the engine.

I have used Mos2 before Ceratec. Liked both but the truck series is cheaper and has the proper quantity for mixing with 5.7L sized engines.

As of now I'll probably do the flush every third change. Their site states the moly is effective for X miles. Thats when I'll use a flush again.

Total cost $75 ish on this change.
Otherwise $ $58

Oil treatment is $13
Flush $17
SRT oil filter $15
7 quarts of mobil 1 varies. $30 + or -

Did the oil from the flush look any different from previous changes?

I should have added to the above, I don't think I'm going to let my remaining bottles of MoS2 go to waste just because the looks of it. My plan is to alternate it with LubeGard Biotech every other oil change. I've got enough bottles of each to last me like 50K miles. Imma stick to no more than 5K miles between OCIs. I used Supertech 5w30 in my 2019 classic hemi. No ticks or taps so far, even on 25degF startups.

Infact it did not. It looks like regular used oil when it came out. I was wondering what it was going to look like draining out of that oil pan. Good thing too. I'd be pretty concerned if I had unexplainable oil draining.

I have run a catch can since I've owned it so internally the engine stays cleaner than most.

Now I wish I would have recorded the drain. Next time.

I could be wrong but I think I've read you can use them every other oil change and have the protection.
