It is an interesting state of affairs, but got to say it is a little bit a matter of clickbait. Another story on this issue found that everyone involved that responded didn't know to precondition the batteries. Without doing that, the cold batteries can't take a fast charge.Another good article.

You don't see very many EV's on the roads up here when the temp is -30+,and at -50C/-58F in Edmonton i have 2 buddies looking for them,and neither one has seen an EV driving on the roads since last week,lolDrove past a Tesla abandoned on the side of the freeway the other day, it had warmed up to 5°F, a few miles up the freeway a Tesla in the slow lane of the freeway probably going 30 mph. Road conditions didn't warrant that slow of travel, I was going 70.
