Ok, so a lot of you guys probably think these are kind of ricer, but I thought they were cool so I installed them and think they look cool.

The picture is horrible because of my cellphone camera at night, but the projected logo is bright and clear at night. I'd say the projected image is over 2 feet in diameter maybe 28"-30"

It's amazing how many people have come over to ask me about them when they see them lit up at night in a parking lot or wherever.

I have them tapped into the dome light circuit so they come on when I open the door.

Installed in the door panel:

The reason the white circle is a little off center is because of the angle of the door panel where they are mounted causing them not to be perfectly plumb in the door.

I've never seen it, if it's done clean, I can't knock it. It makes it YOUR truck. I'm a fan, looks good and definitely original! :happy160:

No, they project onto the ground when you open the door.

That looks pretty badass, can you let me know how you did that and how much it cost?

If you don't have anything nice to say, and you can't show the OP some respect for his hard work, then don't post in his thread. Thank you!

Well said!

I think it is cool. The dealer put red led interior lights under my dash and seats. Lots of people come over to check it out in the dark. It's funny how such a small mod can get people to come over and check out your truck.

eBay from China. They were only $17.50
I tapped the dome light circuit and ran the wires through the rubber boot in the door. They come with a small hole saw.

I figured if they don't last I can just add a couple white LEDs. I have severe back problems and walk with a cane so a little light on the ground by the door is helpful. Kind of like puddle lights.

Here is the auction I bought them from:

I think they're neat, something subtle that a lot of people wouldn't really notice
New mustangs have the logo project from the mirrors

For my 2011, the dome light wire is in a connector behind the pop off cover on the end of the dash - Drives side

It's pin #13 Yellow wire with a white stripe
Pin #11 is ground - Black with tan stripe
