I’m currently wanting to lift my 2018 ram 1500 big horn. I know I want a BDS suspension lift I’m willing to put the Money down for it. But there are so many options on the market I want to make sure I good everything I need to keep the truck in all of the right angles so that the parts don’t premature over time. Anyone have any advice on where to look?

I’ve never messed with BDS lifts so I can’t comment on them. I know Full Throttle Suspension is a great left. The past 2 trucks I’ve ran Rough Country.

BDS is ok but way overpriced! The only difference between BDS and Rough Country is the shocks. RC shocks stuck. I sell both at my shop and have installed both.

I ran the 6" BDS lift on my 2014 1500. If you are referring to the differential and suspension angles they are all addressed with the lift. You will get brackets for the differential trailing arms that correct the pinion angle and the front differential is lowered with drop brackets to keep your CV joint and suspension angles correct. As long as you don't have a regular cab you should be fine. I have had my lift in for almost three years with no issues. I went the the 6" in the front and 3" rear springs. I have the Bilstein 5100 shocks so I did not install the optional 5/8" spring spacer and just set my shocks one notch up instead. The kit fit well and was well made but a few things to note are.
The instructions were horrible to say the least. I have installed several lift kits and work on cars and trucks all the time and these were the worst directions I have seen in a while. Many of the pictures were incorrect and the descriptions were confusing.

I upgraded to the Fox 2.0 rear shocks and they were valved completely wrong for the truck. Don't get me wrong Fox shocks are great but the ones that came with my lift were terrible. They were valved so soft the truck was actually dangerous to drive. If you made any quick adjustments the rear of the truck swayed violently. I sent a video of me bouncing the back of the truck up and down with one hand and. I contacted BDS and for a kit as expensive as it is their customer service was horrible. They replied with vague answers and never actually responded to my question. I returned the Fox shocks and put my Bilsteins back on and the truck rides perfect. The seller told me others had had the same issue as me and returned the Fox shocks. I double checked the part number and the shocks I got were the correct ones for the kit so I am not sure what was going on or if the issue has been corrected since I did mine.

If you are installing the lift yourself take your time and try to understand the instructions. If you are having it done at a shop that is familiar with the lift you will be fine. I saw an episode of Diesel Brothers and they were going to install a BDS lift on a 1500 Ram and were just as confused as I was and they build custom trucks every day.
If I were do do it again I would probably go with the Zone lift. It is cheaper and from what I can tell it is pretty much the same thing.
