Ok so I’ve been reading lots of posts on headlight issues. All of them seem to be discussing HID upgrade issues and software to get around it, canbus ect. I have a 2018 Laramie 2500 Megacab. It is bone stock with 10k miles. The projectors are giving me issues. Several times a week when I start the truck they come on for a few seconds then shut off. Come on again for a second or two then shut off. Come on again for a second or two then one or both shut off and don’t come back on and the cluster says headlight out. Sometimes it’s the left sometimes it’s the right and frequently it’s both. They will not come on again until you shut the truck off for several minutes and start back up. Sometimes the process repeats, sometimes they work fine for several days. Does not seem to change with auto function versus manual. Remote start seems to make it happen more often. Local dealer basically said well if you can leave it with us a few days I’m sure we can figure something out..........umm thanks I’ll ask around. Thoughts?

Could be bad bulbs, or a bad connection at the bulbs maybe?

Ok so I’ve been changing the settings and running it a couple days on different settings. If light on approach is enabled with light switch on auto and then remote start, it does it every time. Lights on approach on and switch on auto it does it most of the time. With lights on approach off and switch on off, they almost always work fine when I switch them on manually. Also just had rain this morning and the rain sensing wipers don’t work anymore. I’m gonna say there is a computer issue rather than bulb issue.

As far as I know. I’ve never had to change them. They act like HID though. A little dim on start up then get brighter after a couple seconds. Maybe a dealer upfit??

No but I’ve had it a while with no issues. Like I said the auto lights and rain sensing wipers are both malfunctioning. Oddly enough the outside temp dropping seems to have coincided with the issue but could be a coincidence

Let me know if you find out the issue with the rain sensing wipers. Mine quit, so all I have are lo/hi settings.
