hearing that the exhause manifold bolts tend to break in the 5.7 over time. Just bought my truck has 400 miles on it. How can I PM this issue. With it being new the bolts should come out easier.

I am just going to let whatever happens happen. When it needs to be fixed I will have the manifold machined. That, according to others seems to be the permanent fix. Fix it right, fix it once.

I have done some searching about this. Seen that headers will correct the issue as well. Figure I will do the shorties. Jba either stainless or titanium ceramic coated. Not sure what difference is other than the obvious. Do the short headers bolt right up to the factory exhaust? Do they throw codes. This is a daily driver truck so i dont want or need full exhaust etc

Jk, this is one of those, don't go looking for trouble. Not ALL 5.7 and 6.4 engines have this problem. My 03 5.7 with 230k miles never did. My 2018 2500 6.4 came out of the factory with an exhaust leak. But, like you I believe in PM. Dug deep on this one. Those that have solved their own Hemi problem did this. ATR or AMR #8 bolts. Remflex exhaust gasket. Machine plane the exhaust manifold, replace them or install shorties. So far we are not hearing from those that have done this are still having a problem. The aftermarket exhaust gasket seems to help. Understand that it is thicker and helps separate the aluminum head from the cast iron manifolds better.

Fitz. Just looking for a touch more sound and perfromance to help the engine breathe a little better as well. What would be the better choice the plain stainless ceramic coated or titanium ceramic coated?

Jk can't help you with that as I do not know the answer. I would PM Nick at gotexhaust. He is a sponsor and has deep knowledge on that. Also we get member discount if we order from him. I have purchased a number of things from him.
BTW see the correct name for that Hemi gasket.

How many miles does it take for the manifolds to become "seasoned" to the point where they can be surfaced and not worry about it again?

Can't know that. It is why many members have replaced with Shorty's as I understand it, they are aluminum. I suspect that if the cast iron manifold warps "early on" and it is machined flat. It is possible that it can warp again. But, the warping of the exhaust manifold has been well documented. The cause being broken or lose bolts. That sets up the exhaust gas leak that warps or in some cases cracks the manifold.

Got the tick one afternoon when I went to start my truck to go on lunch. Ordered some JBA shorties since figured may as well upgrade while I’m there. Ran into clearance issues with the frame in my 15’ 2500 and had to send them back. Ended up doing grade 8 hardware and using a 6.1 Hemi gasket.

How many miles did your truck have when that happened?

Just over 46k. Thought I had just broke 1, but actually had 2. The upper ones closest to the firewall on each side. Then I snapped one other one trying to take it out, totaling 3.
