Of course I read about MDS being a pain in the back side ( more so for non stock muffer guys)and how some can feel it. However I am approx at 3800 miles now with a Magnaflow 18 muffler and I can feel it more now than before. I obviously can hear the so called "drone" at low speeds which I specifically would call a laboring heavy engine type of noise. Similar to shifting into 5th gear at low speed EG 15mph in a stick shift vehicle, it labors.
The feeling of the MDS part is more frequent now, Its either the MDS or tranny LOL. Its almost as if it jolts the truck somewhat when it activates or perhaps deactivates. I dont think I noticed this as often prior. Eitherway, I wont be rushing to the main dealer. Just wanted to share my observations with a few questions if I may.
On a seperate question, which is hemi newbie based. Any reason why Dodge chargers with similar magnaflow mufflers sound much better on launch than our trucks? I am thinking perhaps its the downpips and manifolds that are the cause.
