I am looking for someone in the north Alabama area, with a tuner that can deactivate my MDS (eco mode). If it's even possible, I'm not a mechanic. If it is, what would you charge me. Thanks in advance.

Start the truck put it in drive press "Gear-" on your steering wheel once, then press "Gear+" to your Max gear, in my case I have the 8 speed trans so I go to 8. The gear will be shown on your cluster next to the "D" for drive. You have to do it Everytime your drive the truck but it's free, been doing it for years.I am looking for someone in the north Alabama area, with a tuner that can deactivate my MDS (eco mode). Pretty much just that you're engine is running on all 8 cylinders all the time, if all you're doing is deactivating it with no other mods there's really not much point. Most that deactivate it are doing it for performance along with other mods.what is the advantage to deactivating the MDS?
The possibilities on tuning are pretty much limitless all depending on how much time and money you want to invest. It's not like the old days where you can turn a screwdriver and tweek this or that, it's all electronic now. There's all kinds of tuners on the market from preloaded tunes to custom loads specifically for you.I agree didn't know you can do much with a gas tuner, interested to also know, thx
Thanks for the info, I'll probably just go the cheaper route. I really just want to deactivate the MDS, not really worried about performance tuning. I just drive back and forth to work . If you know anyone who has a used on, that isn't married to a vehicle already. I would be very interested. Thanks again, everyone on here has been great. No one talked down to me because I didn't have a clue.
