My 2011 has what sounds like a Lifter Banging so The Cam swap my be in order.

I want to put in the Hellcat lifters with a new cam and The non MDS Plugs.

Is the procedure to do this just put the plugs in and disable the MDS with a tuner?

Is there anything else that needs to be done or any codes that pop up down the line?

Thanks,

You can leave the mds plugs in, as 99 percent of the time they break off and then your pulling pieces out... you will need to disable it via a tuner like diablosport... which youd need to do if your doing a cam swap anyways.

So your saying just leave the solenoids in, just unplug them? No need to purchase the plugs?

If you unplug them itll throw a light ... you can swap the manual challenger harness which is just for the vvt solenoid and doesnt have all the plugs for the mds sensors... but I just leave mine alone and turn it off via tuner.

OK so you leave them plugged in and turn off with the tuner? Would that work putting in a New cam and Hellcat Lifters

Stock cam? Or aftermarket stock yes.... aftermarket would need a custom tune
