Mega Cab Rear Seat problems

Hello all. I have a new to me 2006 Ram mega cab and have a problem with the rear seat. On the passenger side, both the recline lever and lean forward handle work great. But on the driver side neither work at all. I've looked at the cable and its routing and didn't see anything loose. When I pull either handle, it just feels empty. Like a spring that's not hooked up on one end. Looking for some insight or walkthroughs to further diagnose issue and or fix please. Thanks

I wonder if you could disassemble the seat somehow to see if it's connected still?

It seems like it is just not grabbing the mechanism that releases the latch to allow the seat to fold.

Follow the cable to see if it is catching.
