Mil light

Brand new 2015 Mega cab, 6.4L, 188 miles. Took it through the car wash today, all was good. 4 hrs later started it went a block and the MIL light came on, I've read what is said here. Looks like pulling the ground for 1 min then see how it goes. A few questions.

I'm not sure how or where to find the codes can you point me in the right direction.

How long can I go before I need to take it in?

You need a code reader to pull the codes. Take it to the dealer and ask them wtf.

Talked to the dealer & my pal at NAPA. Both said gas cap, then updates, then any number of things. They said its a quick check. I have not added gas to the truck, still on the first tank so I'm off to get the code checked tomorrow. Thanks jwheeler

Anything before checking the codes will be a wild guess. Likely something simple with that mileage though.
