So canbus is run in a lot of different vehicles right?

Is it just something with the specific version of everything that Dodge/Ram decided to use that makes it so hard to modify anything on our trucks?!

User software like AlphaOBD gives the owner control of the modifications to the vehicle. With that said these trucks are very picky when it comes to lighting modifications. Some trucks will respond better to others especially those with the projector headlights/LED tails from factory.

My truck is a 17 with reflectors. I put led headlights in without the pcm for the canbus and had no issues. I also have Morimoto fogs with no resistors and they work fine. The only explanation I get from folks is every truck is different

Sorry to hear that. I installed mine this weekend and have not experienced any problems. I also installed the XB headlights. Again no issues so far. At first I didn't think the DRL's were working until I figured out the truck had to be in drive. I already had DRL turned on so didn't need the wiring to fuse box. Next weekend hope to get fog lights installed.

Hopefully it's all plug and play lol for the light bar I have to have brackets made plus figure out my aux switches. Want to make sure it's done right the first time haha

Got my tails and foglights in today. Nice and bright. It does have an unique magnified lens for the reverse lights that put out a wide flat beam of light. On a side note the passenger side tail light didn't like working with my Recon 3rd tail light so I left it disconnected until I get a fix. The adapted connections have little protection from vibration so I suggest wire looms. 20190429_195159.jpg 20190429_195210.jpg The downside for me is how much they stick out but still look great. 20190429_195246.jpg And the clips included on the lights didn't allow me to tighten them down properly (maybe different year models had different diameter Torque screws). I reused the previous clips from the other tails.20190429_204906.jpg I'll have to adjust the foglights on a flat wall and figure out how low the pattern needs to be, but I'll wait until the Headlights come in so I only have to do it once.

Great insight on the third brake light!!!!!!! I have the same issue but haven’t tried disconnecting it yet!

The sad part is that light bar was ordered same day from trs so just shows how long we have been waiting so what's an extra day? Not sure how it didnt get sent out, it was labeled around noon.

I bought the 1,300.00 dollar headlights 3 months ago and have already made 2 payments on something I still have not received yet, all I can say is I hope morimotto is worth the wait.
I was going to order the taillights also but didn't want to part with all that cash for bothe.
Good luck with the taillihgts.
