Morimoto xb tails

Well started the truck this morning and now the passenger tail light isnt working at all...

Sorry to see you’re having issues too. Did they send you pictures of them bench testing them like they sent @BEAST19
If you disconnect the battery for 10 minutes do they work again?

They have not sent me any photos. I have not tried the battery, I can try that. If I turn the truck off and then back on then it works but just blinks about 4 times and then goes out again.

The lights look cool but honestly very disappointed in the output of the reverse lights. I understand only one is working right now but not really seeing how the other one is gonna make up the difference in lack of light. The light itself is very focused in a arch shaped beam and directly behind the truck and doesnt light up anything else. I tried to back up my driveway today which is very long and windy and was not able to do so which I was always able to do so with the factory ones.

So here is just the reverse light vs hitting my brake pedal. Brake lights light it up much better but cant back up a hill while holding my brakes lol. What you guys think?

I can get over low reverse light output as I bought the lights for esthetics lol my tailgate light bar works well ...... but I can’t get an inspection in ny without my. Reverse lights working :-( I’m hoping they fix it soon.

No they didn’t send me the video of them being tested ... I’m not sure it would prove anything to me .... I’ve dealt with many lights that work on the bench but when connected to the truck act differently due to the canbus system in these trucks ...... I want to try alpha obd to change my truck settings to led lighting and see if that works before I return these .... unless they can fix it before I set that up

Going to be returning my morimoto xb tails. Constant issues that remain unresolved ... sticking to my Origional I think they look better and are RELIAbLE!

They sent me an email claiming they think it only has been affecting bighorns in certain years..... and are working on a fix .... hoping two weeks or so they say..... too late for me. I sent mine back yesterday ! Tired of messing around with 450$ tail lights that don’t work...... that I waited 5 months for . Waiting on my money back went back to my favorites that look better and are reliable!

According to email I got, they say it only effects trucks that came with LED tails, makes you wonder if you had alphobd and changed tails to regular bulbs if it would work correct then?

I had regular bulbs and mine werent working either. They told me fri they are still working on a fix. Will keep ya updated. But still deciding if I should return or not. Love the look but the reverse lights are just terrible.

At least they are responding to emails now. It seems like more R&D is needed. It would be to their advantage to send out some free sets to iron out the issue then issue a recall. Or a repair kit.

Nope never used alpha obd and never contemplated it til now ....... I even went as far to change all my bulbs back to stock with these lights only to hav them not work . They are in transit back to trs

what are the old reliable???? Dig the XB' s but between the heads and tails, all the issues, I wouldn't buy anything from them...
