Interested to hear your thoughts on this as I have a Carven Progressive and ran into the exact issue as you - wife hated cold starts at 5:30 am. I loved it. She wins. But stock is just too quiet. Solo has a shop 20 minutes from me and I am thinking once spring comes I am going with either the 40 or 44. Please report back on how the cold starts early am go.

Will do. It will probably be a few weeks because I am waiting for the bulk of this snow to go and I'm gonna get her up on the lift and install everything I picked up all at once. Will report back and see if I can figure out the whole video thing to post

Ok currently I have a carven progressive muffler and I love the sound and volume to me is perfect. However neighbors and the girlfriend are annoyed due to my random work schedule. Sometimes not home till 3 or 4Am and other times warming it up to leave at 5Am. So I need to quiet it down some. I was thinking about the magnaflow 24" because I dont want the stock one back on. I want noise but not overly loud, say like dead in between the carven and the stock. Want better flow then stock too. Nick recommends the mach 40 solo and I know he knows what hes talking about but I'm looking for opinions they just have to be the same direct fit type as the carven. Like solo vs magnaflow 18 24 flow master ect. Very interesting in hearing opinions!
I removed my stock muffler and had straight pipe put in place of the muffler. Sounds good. Will that affect my warranty?

I am also interested in the results because I am in a similar situation and was looking at the Mach 40. Would asking for a video be too much haha.

I have the Magnaflow 24" (Mufflex 24). It sounds like a V-8 at idle, but not wake-the-dead loud. It leaves no doubt however, that I have a Hemi when I'm into the skinny pedal. Not much drone on the freeway, but MDS can be a little annoying tone-wise on city streets and parkways. I just leave it in 4th or 6th (6-spd). I also have 5" tips which deepen the note a lot.

And No, I don't have any sound clips or video.

Thank goodness my wife loves the growl of a v8 and I live in the country.

Same here! My wife had me delete the resonators from our Challenger after installing a Carven on the truck, and we live in the burbs.. LOL

What are the opinions of Flowmaster's Outlaw muffler? That's at the top of my list currently.

I absolutely Love mine. Sounds great especially when I start it up at 2am for work (don’t care what the neighbors think). I had it welded in instead to avoid leaks. Need 5” tips now.

Late response, but I love mine. Pricey, but worth it. Night and day difference from stock. About to add 5 inch black tips to compliment it. :flamingdevil:

the 2 options linked by Magnaflow are also very good options. If anyone needs pricing or help figuring out what muffler would work for you best feel free to message me and we can go over the options and pricing

That's what I put on my truck. It sounds great when cruzin around in town and when you step on it the sound is awesome. I choose it only because I have 40 Series mufflers on my Trans Am and loved them.

So everyone can see what the mach 40 is because the info out there is so limited. Will update on sound once installed.20190329_155128.jpg 20190329_155227.jpg
