Mufflex 14" install

I just got the 14" mufflex muffler for my truck. A friend of mine is installing it. He was asking me what all it came with. Its literally just the muffler in the box, no write up on things. Obviously its not going to come with much. I have to drive out to BFE to his shop and wanted to bring whatever I need with me. Anyone have a write up on their install. I know the muffler is substantially smaller. So how much and what extra pipe to I need. Something for a new hanger? ETC. Any help is appreciated. Cant wait to get this thing installed

The kit should come with the muffler, a hanger bracket with 2 clamps for the rear outlets, and a single 3" clamp for the front inlet.

I can look again. But pretty sure there is nothing else in the box.

Did you buy new or used? The rear hanger bracket and front 3" clamp should be in the box.

Did you buy a mufflex kit, or just a 14" magma flow muffler?

I didnt buy that whole bolt on kit. Just the muffler. Its part # 12198 I think

OK, that is not a Mufflex then. Mufflex is just a company that takes that Magnaflow muffler and welds on the extra stainless pipe and builds a hanger bracket to make it bolt on. If you just bought the Magnaflow muffler, then you will need to have it welded on. That muffler has a 2.5" outlet and your rear tailpipes are only 2.25". The outlets on the muffler itself are not spaced the same as stock either, so if you try to clamp on the extra pipe, it is going to throw your rear tailpipes out of alignment. Only way to install that muffler properly is to have it welded in.

ok Yea I am having someone weld it into place. They asked me if it came with anything. I wanted to find out exactly what I needed or find a write up to send to him before I go out there. So he knows what I am bringing

You will need some 2.5" exhaust pipe and an offset piece
