How does a mufflex kit interact with ARH long tubes? i ask because im looking at mufflex's in the short term for some quick noise, but im wanting to go ARH longtubes in the near future for performance. I was wondering if anyone is running that setup? is it a good way to go? i dont want to waste mony on the mufflex kit if it doesnt go well with headers.

Welcome to the forum.

You should not have any problems or issues with the mufflex kit and the headers. Which muffler kit are you looking at getting? The shorter magnaflow muffler or the mufflex delete kit?

The mufflex delete kit paired with some long tubes would sound soooo dirty :) Do it!!! Then post some videos

I have both the ARH Long tubes and the 18" Mufflex with a QTP exhaust cutout. With the cutout closed the truck does not have a really loud sound that you wound expect, but a real deep mellow sound instead. The performance is way better. Once you get around 4000 rpm is when you realize the aggressive sound that comes with the headers. I would higher recommend the setup.

Thanks! i just got my Truck last week! i have been trolling the forums for a few months now, but since i finally found a truck at the price i wanted i figured its time to sign up. I am also ready to mod it up and as this is my first dodge i figured i could use all the help i can get!

I am a big fan of loud, harley is loud and my jeep is loud so for the dodge i was thinking ARH + the mufflex delete kit. :driver::head3:

Would i need to have a shop weld anything or will the both just bolt together? would new tail pipes be a good idea?

The ARH setup is designed to tie into the factory exhaust, and the Mufflex kit simply takes the place of the stock muffler. In short, it will work out perfectly for you.

Does anyone know if the ARH will affect emissions... I live in Mass and we follow Cali emissions laws...

With your mods, the 87mm throttle body and a Hemifever custom tune is where it's at. Your truck is about to come to life.

This seems to be the consensus! Looking into some pricing now! The PO had a k&n intake, I think I'm going to junk that for the vararam though. Also a catch can :)

I can't wait to see what it looks like and what you think about it. Which Mufflex set up did you go with?
