Mufflex DOD14M Magnaflow Muffler?

I can NOT find this info anywhere. Does anyone know that model of magnaflow muffler is used? I've been on magnaflow and the ONLY muffler they offer on their site that is single in dual out only has a 2.25"in and 2"out. Is the stock size of the 5.7 3" or 2.5"? I keep reading conflicting answers.

Reason I'm asking is because I refuse to pay $300 for a magnaflow muffler with some pipes welded on it. I want to just buy the muffler and I'll weld it in myself.

Good choice on just buying the muffler. Great way to avoid some of the exhaust leaks others have had with the dod14m kit from mufflex. The shop I took mine to welded the right pipe lengths to the inlet/outlet and the provided clamps for where it met factory pipes. All this for under $180

Yea I don't wanna deal with all the leaks. I bought the muffler today for $85 and paying my buddy $80 to install it Monday. I'm so excited! My K&N intake will be here Monday too!

Now, off to find a good and inexpensive (does that exist?haha) lowering kit. My F150 was jacked up but I think my ram is more sporty so I wanna drop the front 2" and rear 4". Off to do some more research!

Stock pipe size is 2.25, but most exhaust shops can work with 2.5. No worries and enjoy your new exhaust!

After the magnaflow muffler, I'm not sure I can hear my k&n intake anymore. I think they both make the same level of sound so it just blends nicely.

I had the 14" and switched to the 18" and once broken-in there just isn't that much difference in sound between the 2 mufflers.

i agree with this. i have the 14 and had a truck with an 18 beside mine. They are very close, but mine seemed to have a deeper sound to it

I was getting annoyed by the drone at low speed's and thought the 18" would lessen it. It did for the first 1000 km's and then when the 18" broke-in all was the same and now I learned to deal with it.

A guy down the street has it and it's loooud but to me that's all it is, it doesn't sound smooth, more like a loud offshore boat but that's my opinion and at my age I've had maaaany exhaust systems to know what sounds good to me.

the magnaflow is a straight through design. By itself gains are probably minimal, but with other supporting mods you get more than with a chambered exhaust

I have the k&n intake on the way. It'll be here monday.

I'm afaraid to tune it because the ford ecoboost I traded for this truck broke.... bad.

I had it tuned with a super aggressive 93 tune and after a year,I ruined my tranny.
