anyone else with issues with the clock in your truck losing about 15 minute every month?

I have the 8.4A head unit. both the EVIC and the Stereo screen run about 15 minutes late even after I reset the time last month. Kind of annoying.

Anyone know how to correct this?

Review the internal radio settings if available and ensure the GPS network “SYNC Time” is selected. Settings --> Clock --> SYNC Time

this was going to be my next question. I don't have the Nav radio. I scrolled through the settings. No sync function.

does this mean I'm stuck with a useless clock?

have you tried to re-set it and see what happens? otherwise try an update to the radio software (you or dealer) all else fails a new radio...

I've reset the time twice now. there was a software update recall that was done prior to delivery. Not sure if a new radio would do it - or maybe it will. the reason I say that is that the EVIC clock display is also (identically) off as the radio clock. I'm assuming there's something central - unless the radio is telling EVIC what to display. Either way, I'm not sure I want the dealer tearing into my truck.

Just sucks that out of everything that the truck has, something as simple as a clock is what RAM couldn't get right on my truck. Even my 97 VFR has a clock that is always correct. I guess even a broken clock is correct twice a day, problem is, I can't even be falsely optimistic since this one is never correct as it's always running late. sorry, just being bitter.

I have the same unit but mine looses maybe 15 seconds a month.

I'd try reflashing the software. It's available on the uconnect site and all you need is a USB stick. There is a manual download option. You will need your VIN too.

I'd settle for 15 seconds a month. thanks, I'll try the reflash of the soft ware see if that helps.

There is a TSB that states to make sure the gps sync is selected like Ramcares stated. It also says that if that does not fix the problem, it is a known issue and they are working on a software update. Radio replacement will not fix it. Stick it out for a little bit. They will get it fixed.

I did the software re-update last night. Unfortunately, I don't have a "GPS sync" function as I don't have satellite or nav. I scrolled through the menu on my head unit, no sync function. Will see if the re flash works if not, will have to stick it out, no choice.

Nothing I know of yet. The last update seems to be more for iPhone related issues. I'm hesitant to take it to the stealership and have then "fix" my stereo. for now, I just live in constant annoyance and reset the clock at the start of every month. Mine's non-nav too and I'm not paying for the Uconnect features, I can't sync it to the Uconnect system. I'm kinda thinking it's not a large volume problem and it may not be a problem that ever gets fixed.
