I am not sure if it was just one time. But for the first time I was able to put in 30 gallons. This was bout 5 miles (or 15 mins, NY traffic) after my miles remaining switched from a number to “Low Fuel” in the fuel range indicator:

It may be a fluke, or just the timing. But the last time I tried this, I think I got 27 gallons after driving 80 highway miles past 0.

This is exactly how it SHOULD BE. As soon as it says “range: fuel low”, you should be able to put 30 gallons in.

It was never like that before. But, the software update for the added auto park did not mention anything about fixing the fuel gauge issue. So, I’m wondering if this was a fluke, or the new normal...

Just had the recalls done and before leaving I verified with the service manager it corrected the fuel issue as some had stated previously, he claimed it did. After the flash my fuel gauge reads correctly verified at the pump. After having the issue for a year I was used to running way past empty, better not do that now!

I have a '22 Rebel that is not calibrated for the 33 tank and the dealer is acting like I am wrong. Anyone have some suggestions?

Thanks, I didn't mean to post it on the other forum but couldn't find a way to delete it haha. I will have to check into the AlphaOBD, do you know if it will work with a '22 year model?

I can't say for sure since I haven't tried it in a 22 but the AlphaOBD developer seems to keep up with new developments. Check the website. One thing you would need in conjunction to the app and OBDII adapter is a security bypass cable. Check the Alpha OBD threads for some of the things you can do with the app.

I emailed them and they said it would work. I ordered the parts and will see how it goes tomorrow or Friday.

Here is another thread where it came up. I posted some screenshots in the thread.

That’s great. I will reference those screen shots when I get back to the house today and try to get this figured out.

I just followed your steps, there is not an option for tank full like in yours only for empty and how do I know it saved? everytime I go back to those screens they are blank like nothing has happened.
