I pulled the Rams head off the front of the truck and noticed that the chrome will separate from the black back ground.
If you look at the back there are 2 tabs, release those two tabs and then pull on the middle where the "finger holes are" it will bend along the crease and come right on out.

Here are the 2 pieces, the Plasti-dipped and the black back piece.

I love Plasti-Dip.

Now to see how long it will stand up to bugs and the car wash!! If not, just peel and its back to normal!!!!

I got really really lucky on the white. I went down to my local Lowes to buy some black plasi-dip for my 08 3500 and they had white too.
Figured whats $6 anyways. If it doesn't match, I can peel it back to normal chrome and use it somewhere else!!

Thinking I might white plasti-dip my grill too...just to be different

Yes, it was hallow. If you were to take it off and look at the back, the black back ground attached at the 4 corners, the lip of the black piece slides into the chrome. It is held in place by the 2 tabs that you can see by looking into the holes of the black piece. I just used a flat screw driver to release the tab on one side while pulling up on the crease and then releasing the other side. It bent along the crease and the corners slide right out and it came off.
With little effort it comes right apart. I was really worried about breaking it at first but I had no problems.

I am trying to make it..I have some people coming by in the morning to pick up some animals and then I am going to try to get on the road.
What time is it again??

I will probably peel it and start over. I was too impatient tonight to do several light coats and made a few goofs that I know are there..LOL I wanted to see what it looked like!!!
I actually had it back on the truck before it completely dried.
