New member here, no I don't have a Ram truck...yet, hope to have one in the next year. After much reading and research, I'm looking at a '15-'18 1500 crew cab gas 6 cyl. Trying to decide between a 4WD & 2WD. I'll be using this truck as a daily commuter and occasionally around my home (I live on 15 rural acres). I will rarely tow anything, and am more interested in gas mileage than power/speed. I drive like an old lady now.
I like the 2WD for the better gas mileage, however I like the 4WD option for the peace of mind. We like to travel, and although we don't deal with snow here we will travel to places that do. I will use this truck for light 4WD duty around my place. I have an '07 unlimited Rubicon that's lifted, 35" mud tires, dual batteries, 12,000# winch, snorkel, 4:10 gears, a buttload of LED lights, D shackles that I use for heavy duty use. It's great, but because of the set up I get 12 MPG and not comfortable for long distance travel or economical for daily commuting. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Welcome from Ontario!

My recommendation or opinion, "Get a 4WD, you'll feel much more prepared for the unpredictable"

Hemi, 4WD, 3.92’s.......can’t say enough. Why buy a RAM truck if your worried about gas mileage that much. JMO

Buy the Pentastar and don't worry about gas mileage.
