I recently purchased 2018 6.4l Hemi Powerwagon. Been having some issues and not happy with the response from the dealership. In brief: lockers take forever to engage (last test we drove about 1/4 mile, they didn't engage) Dealer says that's because they are fluid operated and need time to build pressure, and you have to turn them before you know you need them.
Shift change to 4 lo. Never heard a noise like it. Actually made a guy jump last week when I shifted into 4Lo. Throws the truck side to side and feels like the transmissions being torn out the bottom, of the truck. Also get a horrendous jump down on gear change.
Horrible grinding from front end, sounds like ball bearings in the diff. Happens occasionally in 2wd if the rear is slipping, happens in 4wd, with or without lockers.
The dealership has said everything is as it should be.
I've been offroading for 10 years and I'm used to the equipment so I have my own opinions. I'm looking to see if anyone has similar experiences or can give me mechanical feedback.
Thank you.

I have a jeep with a Detroit locker in the rear and an ARB air locker up front. I know the vehicles are different, but the 4wd mechanics are similar. I have NEVER heard or felt any of the things you are saying, and the jeep gets trashed and bashed regularly.

"you have to turn them before you know you need them." ... This doesnt even make sense to me. If you wait until your tires start slipping, then you're already stuck!
Locking the diff. BEFORE you hit the hole or hill is just common sense.

Did you buy the truck used? Im wondering if someone locked in the front diff. and drove with some speed or turned the wheels and put the axle in a bind. I know with my front diff locked you basically have to drive in a straight line.

Yes, bought the truck used. 17,000 miles. I've been wheeling Jeep's for years and everything I've experienced is against what they've told me.
I plan to take this further and wanted to get some confirmation of my thoughts and suspicions.
