Hey I have a 4.7l in my 02 and Im about to deploy to afghanistan so theres really not much I can do with it now. But i was wondering what are some good performance things to put on the ol girl when I get back. I already have 40 series flowmasters and an intake, but wat are some other things to boost up the horse power a little bit. thanks

superchips 3815 or 3865 would be your best bet. It will give you a nice little bump in hp

ok thanks yall. I"m in 1BCT Eco 1/504 PIR. yea I looked into some headers and on ebay they are about $390 the superchip is about $400. Hopefully when I get back I can get some more work done to the ol girl.

Anothe Paratrooper....Look me up when you get back Airborne. Good luck, and I would suggest to go with longtubes if possible, shorties are ino a waste of money. Spectre make a decent intake really cheap.

Gears will definitely. Be a good upgrade, but also a pricey mod

What's different about the 08 intake and what would be the gains from that swap?

The 08 intakes are reworked and show higher HP and TRQ numbers. There have been a few guys running them along with the HO cams or bigger when the cores were easier to be found. I dont know if the intake swap with mess with the PCM to far as to needing a custom tune though. In 08 the whole 4.7 got a bump in power.
