Well, I took advantage of the Thanksgiving sale at Billet Technologies... and I finally got my stuff from Fed Ex today.

BT Catch can and engine dress-up kit, red anodized and etched.

BT has it labeled as jewelry in the package, which I found hilarious because I've bought jewelry before - and it was cheaper than this ****. lol

I'm patiently waiting until I find a CAI that I actually like to finish out the engine compartment.

I might have to do something with the radiator cover... I'm starting to think there's too much red under the hood. lol

I also got a Ranch Sport Wrap tonneau cover, as well as an Aero Turbine muffler and tips. It sounds soooo much better now.

I'll post pics of the tonneau cover as soon as I remember to take some.

I don't think its too much red. Looks great.

Interested to hear your opinions of the Ranch Sport Wrap. What's it weigh, how's the finish, etc.

I'm looking to cover my bed and on the fence between a tonneau like that one, or just spend the coin for a cap.

I got a great deal on the Sport Wrap at Auto Accessories Garage, online. They were having a special, so I got the charcoal headliner for free, as well as 15% off the total price.
Buying it locally, with installation, was going to run me well over $1500 with the headliner, lighting and keyless remote. I got it for just over $1100.
I think they said it weighs about 110 lbs. The shipping weight is twice that, but they packed this thing like it's a top-secret military weapon. lol
It took 4 guys to unload it from the delivery truck, but only 2 to install it.
The paperwork has absolutely no info on care/maintenance. I had to call the manufacturer to find out how long to let the paint cure before I could wax it.
They said they bake their covers, so they can be waxed right away. I found a few other manufacturers who don't bake theirs, including Leer, Century and SnugTop.

The color matches perfectly and the finish was flawless. I'm very happy with it, so far. Let me know if you have any other questions.

That does look great. It's the little things like that. Sets it apart. Too bad no many people see it.
Then again if they don't it means your truck is running great. Lol

If the battery really bothers you, I'll bet you could remove that soft battery cover and bring it to an interior shop as a pattern and have a color one made………...

What did you use to paint the under hood plastics? Did you have to sand everything first?

I lightly sanded everything, cleaned with Dawn to remove grease/oil, then adhesion promoter, filler/primer, paint then clear-coat.

I only used the filler/primer to smooth out the textures a little.

The important part is to clean them well, use the adhesion promoter and don't mix brands of paint, if you can help it. The light gray/almost white color on my engine cover was Mineral Gray but turned almost white when I clear coated it. The 2 different brands reacted with each other.

Any good brand name spray paint will work and it doesn't have to be made for plastic.
The chrome letters/numbers are decals from Ebay.

Let me know if you have other questions.
