New Oil, totally better sounding truck

No kidding? I also have noticed this deeper, rumble sound associated with an obvious HP increase after I detail mine

I'm doubting, it's all in his imagination. Just like people who say their truck runs better after it has been washed.

I think it's dependent on whether there was a problem before. Like a rag will clean a dirty countertop in your house but it won't clean one that's already clean..

If you had oil that was half diluted with combustion gases and started out as generic 10w30 from the everything hose at JiffyButts 13000 miles ago and then you fill the engine with new 5w20 synthetic, you might just hear a difference. Probably not like the difference between a helicopter and a cello but maybe the difference between clattering lifters and not-clattering lifters.

My truck does 0-60 in .3 seconds after i added the +1000HP sticker from K&N.
