New RAM 1500 Owner!

Hey everyone,

Just picked up a new 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie two weeks ago. Loving the truck so far.

I came from a Ford F150 FX4 EcoBoost. I really liked the F150 and never had any issues with it. The Ford was a lease and I had originally planned on trading it in for a new F150. I went back and dealt with the same salesman I dealt with. I ended up walking away from their deal and was pretty pissed off with the dealership in general.

I decided to look into other trucks. I was interested in the Tundra and the RAM.

I went and looked at both, the Tundra first. I didn't like the Tundra at all. Felt very plastic in the interior and was having a hard time loving the exterior.

I than went to my local RAM Dealer. Really liked what I saw in the ram. Test drove one and loved the ride. After a few days and talking to a few dealerships I took delivery of my 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie.

Truck came with a Soft Tri-Fold Cover. After two days I hated it and got them to swap it with a Quad Fold hard cover.

You have chosen....wisely! That said we are all a bit bias. That's a fine looking Ram if I do say so myself.

Also I'm a bit jelly that you have a 32 gallon tank in your 1500. ****** me off they even think about putting 26 gallons in a 2500/3500, let alone do it.

Between your prior truck (the f150 3.5 TT) and the Ram 5.7 w/ the 3.92 gearing. Which truck has more off the line grunt in your opinion. Or passing power? How do the two feel compared when you give them the heavy foot.

I guess, simply put, which has more power?

Based on my observations, the ecoboost kills off the line. It's torque curve comes on pretty early. But the 5.7 will begin to real it in on the top end
