New Ram owner, can't believe how bad it is in the snow.

New Ram owner here I can't believe how bad this truck is in the snow. Compared to the previous two Fords I had before this, the Raptor and platinum both 150s this thing is awful it's a Ram 3500 Dually 6.7 with brand new rims brand new 37 inch tires no reason it should be such slug in the snow, obviously I have four wheel drive, this thing refuses to stop and refuses to turn just terrible. She is absolutely beautiful though, I'll give her that.

Interesting intro...ummm, welcome.
You'll not get any type of traction with those tires, no matter the make of vehicle.
Wide all season tires are not your friend in cold, slush, and snow.
If you really want to reap the benefits of winter driving, get a set of skinny dedicated winter tires on that monster and enjoy. You'll sing a different tune for sure.

Sorry, but I have to agree with the previous posters that you have almost the worst setup if snow is your goal, ESPECIALLY if you are driving empty.

Ditto on comparing a dually (anything) with an F150 or Raptor.

Put the same tire/wheel combo on an F350 and let us know how it goes.

Welcome, but as said above, worst combo for a snow machine. Like if I had friggin standard OEM SRA's on my 1500. That thing spins on wet grass, why I have snow rated AT3W's on mine, but I know apple to oranges comparing a 1500 to a dually. 4 tires vs 6, with all the added snow plowing of Diesel engine weight on front end, just no comparison.

Everyone above nailing it. You have much more mass to stop and start, so Newton's first Law applies and the values of former vehicles and current vehicle greatly change the experience. Others have commented on tires, and different shoes will also change how it handles in varied conditions. Finally, you came out of trucks that are only similar to your new one in that they are called trucks. You had a Mustang and a Quarter Horse, now you are riding a Clydesdale. Gonna' be different no matter what.

No Clydesdale here, but do have a AQHA mare, LOL. Momma on her mare. Momma gone now (deceased), but still got her mare. No way com pare my 1500 to a 3500, lol.
