If I get a minute in the next week I can run the subs through Bass Box Pro and come up with a predictable freq response for you so you won't have any huge peaks to deal with. I say that because JL keeps internal volume on their specs on the smallish side and it really does kill that ultra smooth response I have heard out of the W6s.

That would be appreciated. I can easily add up to 231cuin to the enclosure or any part there of or I can move the inside wall of the sub enclosures closer together.

I like the design but not they lay out of the amplifiers. I think I would like it better with all amps across the top and a beauty panel over them.

I just threw the amps in that location while I was making the drawing, it won't be final locations by any means. I've been thinking either on the top where the MS-8 currently is or I'll hide them entirely under the sub box with removable cutouts so I can get at the front of them.

Tweaked the design a bit and added some colour to everything. I think I've found a winner if Etro can prove that it's not going to be a dud audio-wise. I'm still trying to find an insert I like for the side panels, so ignore the two in there right now.

That looks great man, I should ask how much power do you plan on running to each? Knowing this will allow me to tune an enclosure at your max power output so you won't have port noise or anything like that.

I'm putting 500w to each from the sub channel on the HD 900/5s. I was just curious if it makes any difference that I used that volume behind the side viewing panel as part of the box volume and not of the port. It's a trapezoid shape and not immediately around the sub.

if it is part of the camber in any way and not super restricted you can count it as volume of the box. I would round the corners of it a bit though as angles can do funky things.

Sorry this took so long but if been running the last couple of weeks for work. What I found is if you tune to JLs recommendations you'll have a pretty decent peak at around 45hz. So I pushed the box for a single sub to 1.9 cubic ft after displacement and tuned to 27hz. This will give you an F3 of 25hz and zero peaks do deal with. Since they are going to be so close to you that's what I would recommend as you can still hit gut wrenching bass bit it will be super clean sounding.

Alright, I figured what port length I'd need to rework the dimensions for 1.9cuft and 27Hz and it's 44.5" which is 10" shorter so all I'll need to do is change the entry location of the port. I really appreciate the help.

It may be too late for input, but, if you've got the split rear bench, you could always go for getting another small part of the split and mounting it on the right side....

I'd thought of that until I decided to go SCRB. BTW, if you want a tighter wheelbase, since you have a 4g, you could get the 5'7" bed and cut the frame shorter to match it up to your cab!

If you've done a c-notch, doing this via a z-cut or two shouldn't be too hard, you know? If you watch Stacy David's "Gears" or I think "truck-u" maybe, he does this to an SCLB ford by cutting under the cab so that suspension mounts don't become a problem.

Just a couple of things to think about. But really, if you can get your hands on two of the small seats from the split bench, they should mount right up to factory holes and be just fine. Then you can make a center console sub box with cup holders built in. :)

Well you're about a year late since the box is already built and installed, and this is also an audio wall thread, nothing about the rest of the truck.
