98 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2l. Truck was stalling when coming to a stop. Replaced tps but a day later it stalled again. Now it wont start at all but turns over. I keep reading crank sensor but people have replaced that and it still doesn't help. This is my wife's truck so you can imagine the pressure I'm under to get it running again. Help!!!

Its getting fuel and I can hear it kick on before I try to start it. Pushed the valve on fuel rail and fuel sprays out of it.

Cam and crank sensors don't generally throw codes when they die, they just kinda up and leave.

Yea that's what im going to try. Seen a YouTube video where this guy went in through passenger fender well. But you have to replace all the plastic rivets that hold the mud guard on. Guessing itll be a feel and touch process from the top huh

you will only see power at the coil for a short second or 2 when you first turn the key on. then the computer waits for the sensors to give it the right signals before it will turn the asd relay on which powers the coil and injectors

So if the crankshaft sensor is not sending signals then no power to the coil? Im not getting any spark from ignition coil at all when cranking the engine

Yep. I'd the crank sensor goes out and the pcm isn't receiving signals from it, it will keep power from the coil effectively shutting off spark. It will also keep your injectors from firing. It will just crank.

it might be the cam position sensor. i think those 2 sensors are the ones that effect the fuel/spark
