Hi all,
Been reading many informative posts by users of the site and just wanted to say hello and thank you. The breadth of knowledge, a lot from trial and error, helps the rest of us with our maintaining or upgrading.
A little about me...
I bought my Ram 1500 brand new in 2011 and didn't make any modifications to it besides a cap and spray on bedliner. Needed a safe place for the kids, I mean dogs! Wife forces me to keep the kids in the back seat. I used the truck primarily for my outdoor escapes (hiking, fishing, hunting, etc) and driving to and from work. The Colorado mountains provide plenty of outdoors opportunities if you're willing to brave the winters and month of August.
Just this year, I decided it was time for major maintenance and leveled the truck, replaced both CV's I busted going off-roading, new Zone UCA's, Mevotech TTX ball joints and steering knuckles, Mevotech stabilizer links and bushings. Also, I had to weld repair my front stabilizer arm as the ends had split due to all my off-road abuses.
She handles good as new! Looking to up my tires with new rims now, so I'll see where that takes me. Maybe I can break something else next time I go off-road.
