Picked up a new to me Granite Crystal Metallic 2015 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. She has 158k on the clock but drives like what I think would be new. Also was either garage kept or waxed a few times a year cause man it is clean and shiny. Dealer went ahead and put on new exhaust manifolds/gaskets/bolts due to 3 of them being broke off and also new rotors and pads on the front and just new pads on rear. The fronts weren't completely gone, but close. All done prior to purchase free of charge. Tranny fluid must have been changed fairly recent due to the pan being way cleaner than the rest of the bottom of the truck. My question is the coolant is orange and I've read a few places that the purple coolant turns orange over time so I'm not worried about the color, but is there any way to check to see how old the coolant is? No record in the carfax of it being changed, but not all servicing makes it to carfax. Is there a test of some kind I can do to check the condition? Don't want to change it if the condition is fine, but if it tests as maybe being old I want to change it. Thanks for replies

You can make an account on mopar.com (free) and see any dealer performed service associated with your VIN, if the coolant was replaced by dealer

the mopar account kurek is talking about is nice. you can view upcoming service items by mileage and also upload your own service information. It's how I track doing my oil changes.

Lets see pics of this truck!

Thanks for the replies. I’ll upload a pic soon. Registered at mopar.com and can’t find any maintenance records…not even what I know the dealer did before I bought it. Maybe it takes a few days to be uploaded from the dealer.

Mine only shows services performed since I owned it... It does show is a recall performed before I bought it (but not the service details about it).

Maybe it is just my account.

Well, I tried the volt meter test where you stick the positive into the coolant and the negative to the negative post on the battery and it said .1 so I think I’m good to go. Anything below .4 is good. The color is not exactly orange but it’s not full on purple either. There is a little purple hue to it though. Kind of a purlply pinkish orange. Whatever. Shows -35 on the tester and it’s clean and not cloudy.
