now I’m scared, just ordered a blue 1500, diesel with sun roof, short bed for me, I hope “BETTY JANE” will be a long keeper, sassy truck, with no leaks

I wouldn’t be too disappointed if I could clean these once every couple of months to prevent the issue. But with it being only the second time it’s rained in a few weeks since picking it up, it’s almost like it would require daily cleaning during rain season. For whatever reason I love to have a sunroof. Thanks for sharing!
This has been an issue in here and with the sliding back glass so maybe they should check those and the rails.

If that is the dealer's remedy, fine. But if they can't "clean" it, and I assuming there is an obvious water stain or has warped, it should be replaced under the basic warranty. They are either trying to run the clock out on the basic warranty or don't want to fool with it. Have you tried a different dealer? Did dealer get the HMSL issue fixed?
How long is this basic warranty as I have 30k on a 2015 and now have stains on each corner of my headliner.

I hate to read stuff like this-you basically purchased a truck as expensive as a home and company won't stand behind it. Haven't seen your posts for a bit so I imagine you got rid of it. Not much else you can do at this point.

The basic warranty is 3 years or 36k miles, which ever you reach first. So it expired on your truck approximately 4 years ago, depending on when it was first purchased.

I've read that you can remove water stains from headliners with a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide. In fact, I've seen before and after pics, and you couldn't tell there was ever any stains there. I don't know the ratio though, but I'm sure you'll find lots of info it you search the internet.

I have a 2019 RAM 2500 Limited, My sunroof also leaks on the driver's side from time to time, especially after a heavy rain where the water comes in faster than it goes out the drain.

Here is what I do to mitigate that: I park outside and at certain times of the year there is debris from Oak flowers and their pollen. That stuff gets into the drain tube and clogs the drain. So I try not to park under the oak tree in the spring.

The second thing I have found is that if you park with the front of the truck elevated more than the rear, the water drains better from the rear drains.

The final thing is I run a wire or string trimmer line down my front drain holes about twice a year to keep them clean.

These things do not eliminate the leak but they minimize the water collecting in the sunroof drain channels that spill over into the cab interior.

I would see if you can order a new truck at the dealer that’s fixing it and trade it to them.. let it be their problem
