New tuner

I just got my tuner in the mail, and got the new tune installed. I bought the SC Flashpaq and I really like it. I have the 87 octane installed right now but I am really wanting to try the others. The biggest thing is the increased throttle response and shifting points. By far the best investment I have purchased so far.

Congrats on the new tuner! Why didn't you go with the 90+ octane tune?

Do you have to run 90+ octane fuel to notice the gains?

Great choice on the tuner. You do need to run the higher octane fuel to be able to safely run the stronger tunes. I would fill up your next tank with 93 octane and just give the stronger tune a try. You should make more power and get better mileage out of the stronger tunes than you are getting now with the 87 tune. Depending on how much more 93 costs than 87 in your area, the increased power and mileage are usually worth the added cost of the 93.

Yep most seem to see the best MPG's with the higher tunes.

Lucky me, my tank's empty. I guess its time to fill up with the good stuff and play around with some tunes.

so with the price of gas it really doesn't matter what i put in it it's all high. But I will try the higher tune.
