No com to srs, no light on.

The previous owner rear ended someone going about 50 Air bags never went off. When I got the truck I hooked my scan tool up to it. It's saying there's no communication with srs. You would think Air bags would of went off. Air bag light isn't on. Light does come on when u turn key on. Is it my scan tool?

There is a 2 wire communication bus that the pcm uses to "talk" to the other modules. Such as the dash, abs, trip computer, seatbelt module, body computer. etc... I had to use the 200-2001 manual on my truck, you can download here.
