I am currently on lay off because my employer shut the doors due to this covid 19 pandemic. So less then a day off work and I got bored and starting pulling the chrome off my truck just posting front end pics to get some thoughts from other Ram drivers.the first one is before bordum set in and the seconds is post bordum.1731aa6cd937e8e60d34cfd9a6caa902.jpgdc2d9dab6f48eaeaf88e9c6f6f1d126b.jpg

Looks like plasti-dip to me :). Looks good though. I’m ditching the chrome too but going SLT to sport front.

That's actually an old picture here's a new one and to be honest I love the lights I get night blindness so the lady guys and light bar really help with that when nobody is coming head on with me (which ironically is when it's the worst) and I off-road at night so they really help with that.906baa6885526eeb7fd6cd60f3b4f670.jpg

My man! I went with 3M wrap. (Holy S**t, thats not easy on my 17 limited grille!) But because of the chrome belt it wears, ive tactfully "lessened and evened out" the amount of chrome. Cut my own inlays for the lettering, removed the badges, over-layed the hemi badges, color matched door handles, caliper painted exhaust tips, and am right now sanding my running boards which are about to be bed liner coated. Good looking truck btw. Any other ideas out there for cheap time consuming mods????

Truck looks awesome man. I thought about doing a wrap on my bumpers and grill but I can get very easily frustrated when things aren't going right (such as wrinkles and stuff)
If you get brave and really want the chrome lessened on your truck you could always take apart your headlights and color match those which just happens to be my next project on my quads

lol, I failed with opening one I was going to use. Warped it to bad to get back together descent. So I think I've had my fun with the headlights. Made a deal with the local junkyard and swapped plus a little $. Got some mostly black housing ones. The little bit of chrome is actually good to tie in with the rest. I decided to attack the boards

@Gixxer750 did you end up painting the new lights or did you leave them as is because they had more black? I’m looking to change but this is the first I have heard of folks painting the lights. Curious as to what it looks like.

i actually pirated the black housing and bezel OEMs off of my 2015. just like anything, once you open it, it will never be the same. i dont think it is worth the effort for my color anyway. i got my hands on some knifeless tape and decided i was going to do some of the fender R/T bars and hood spears. after i freehanded the vinyl for the hood, i was impressed honestly that it wasnt horrible. i decided it just wasnt even worth that. Seemed unnoticeable or over the top....still debating the R/T stripes... I had tyc, perde, and alpharex all get shipped in and right back out. the oem "fogged" lense is so much better than harsh cut offs to me...in the no support alpharex thread

Tried. Failed. Same issue. I dont slow bake well, im all in or out. Also turns out I failed with the grill. But noticed just in time and made a full recovery. Even free handed some hood spears for kicks

Lights...when warm you think you are prying up, then you screw driver goes Through the housing like a hot knife through butter. To me there's only one reason to open that headlight housing. Having too much money has made you to bored

I like the look, removed all chrome from my first Ram. Current Ram has a fair amount of chrome but I like it and will leave it. Really enjoy seeing how people make their trucks unique. Good job!

Have you ever noticed that looking in your rearview mirror, this grill reads "Marc"?

Good luck trying to unsee that.
