So I should leave everything as-is (original RF hub, original tip start switch, original fobs), drive to dealer and install the new hub, new switch and have them do the programming?

Can they do this in the parking lot? Since I cant move the truck once the new ignition switch and hub are installed. Not sure they really want me working in their shop.

As I mentioned above have the antennas ,your new harness in place etc .
Then just replace the switch and hub .
I did mine in the vehicle drop of bay with the service manager .
He just used his Bluetooth dongle and cell phone .
They could probably even do it in the parking I bet

What's the part# for the push button parts? and you had to replace your fobtik rfhub with the keyless n go rfhub? did you need to replace the win module too

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The new push button replaces the tip start module aka win module .
The same parts as jimmy had mentioned except my rf hub had a different part number than the one he has listed .
Mine is

This is what I would do personally: Like skuppy069 said, have as much installed as possible. I already have my back seat out and the wall carpet insulation removed. I’ll remove the existing rf hub and set it on the floor with the C1 connector still connected, mount the new hub and plug the C2 connector into it. I’ll remove the lower panel under the steering wheel along with the ignition trim ring. Call the dealer and explain what I got going on and see if I need an appointment or if they can do it if I just show up. If they’re not cool with me doing the parts swap in their bay, they are at least set up to unplug the C1 connector and plug it into the new hub, then remove the screw from the old switch and put the new one in. Either way, it’ll take them less time to do all this than it does an oil change (probably still charge a full hour anyway). Also make sure all the keyless and passive features are turned on with the alfa before you go. This way they won’t have to add the GX4 sales code, or worry about if it’s even available for your truck. TECHNICALLY, this can all be done without the C2 harness or the antennas being in place yet. You would just have to use the back end of the fob to push the start button until you get the antennas installed.

I hear ya. I’ve sent Alexxi an email about the alfa not being able to perform the “secret key procedure”, so hopefully he’s got some knowledge on that. I had a gut feeling from the get go that the dealer’s wiTech would have to finish this off.

The easiest and quickest way to see if you have the C2 connector somewhere is to pull the lower half of the B-pillar panel next to your driver seat off. Unplug the door connector and see if you have a gray wire in position 5 and a gray/brown wire in position 15. Those are the wires for the rear driver door antenna, and if they’re not there, then you wouldn’t have the C2 connector.
@chrisbh17 I apologize. I was looking at the wrong end of the connector on the drawing. It would be gray in position 11 and gray/brown in position 6. Note on mine they are missing. voZGQOJ.jpg

My truck Is a 2018 ram 1500
It’s basically 4 wires to each front door which is two for the antenna and two for the door handle sense
Then two wires for the rear antenna which stays next to the RF Hub
Then two wires for the Centre console antenna

Total of 12 wires .
Basically one big hanress from the hub and then the once past the doors under the way the harness splits off into three sub harnesses for the three front components

So here is my harness I built
8 hours work etc .
White molex plug for future door Handle
I’m running the handles and antenna wire together into each front door .
Then one antenna in the Centre console and on next to the hub

Looks good! Do you mind posting the part numbers for the antenna connectors and pins? Are you looking to build more of these for sale?

Here's the list of parts I am looking at ordering to start moving forward with my project. How's it look? I have a 2017 1500 Big Horn.

HUB-68319680AD
Pushbutton WIN-6CK46DX9AA
Front & Rear Antenna-56046958AA (x2)
Door Antenna-56046957AA (x2)

Ok question or two .... I have my17 c&c that's been up fitted so I don't have a back wall. It's all opened up for a sleeper unit. My rfhub is currently in the pillar post behind me. Now can I just place the keyless go antennas there as well. One behind me and the other behind the passenger seat. For that matter the antennas for the doors too being it's so close to the door handles anyways.

Secondly can you post part#'s again and where I can get the connectors for the antenna and one to the rfhub. Also post pics of the connectors at the rfhub.

Thirdly. Do all four antenna connections terminate at the same connector on the rfhub or is there two separate connectors. One for the inside antennas and the other to the doors.

And can I get these connectors at the dealer and what gauge wire did ya use? 16g or 18g or even 22g

Thank you

I used 20 awg wire .
The antenna connectors are in the first couple of pages of this thread .
Jimmy posted the connector required for rf hub c2.
I bought my connectors etc from mouser .
You can buy a c2 repair kit from the dealer and it will have the connector and the pins crimped already usually on like a 6 inch wire lead for the rf hub.
All the antennas and door handles get wired into c2 connector.
One 20 pin connector but only 12 slots used

Two indoor antennas and then up to four door handle antennas[emoji1303]

All four antennas and the two door handles originate at the C2 connector on the rf hub (left side of the hub). The only thing I can tell you about whether or not to use all four antennas is this: the door antennas and the interior antennas are different part numbers. I don’t know why, but there must be a reason. At $8 each, I would just get all four and be done with it. In your cab configuration, I would put the door antennas in the front doors, anywhere there’s room to mount them. One in front center maybe underneath the front of the middle seat or under the center dash by the floor (anywhere you want to hide it). One in the back center, maybe underneath your sleeper.

Absolutely fantastic information. Let's get it all in one pinned thread! Almost there!

Quick question. Back story I'm a hot shot driver and always on the road. So this will have to be a piece mill install for me.

Can I get the new keyless go rfhub. Replace it. Have the dealer program it in for me. Program my old fobtik keys to work with it. Then later on when I'm able. Run the interior antennas ... program the keyless new style fobs with the new rfhub with Alfa theoretical because the new rfhub was programmed by the dealer with the old fobtik key. Swap out the fobtik switch with the push button switch? Later I'll do the door handles. 10-4[emoji1303]

Yes you can do this in “stages”. The minimum you need to start with is the hub, push button switch, and the keyless entry fob. You can’t use your old fob and ignition switch because they are on different FCC ID numbers than the keyless go equipment. This method will only allow you to start the truck by pushing the start button with the fob. Then you could add the front and rear antennas later so you can use your finger to push the button. And last, you could add the handles so you don’t need to use the fob to unlock the truck.
I plan on doing a dedicated write up on this when I’m done, but I want to wait for the alfa developer to respond about the software being able to do this. I have everything ready to go, but if I have the dealer finish it off, then I won’t be able to confirm any solution that the Alexxi might have.

Gotcha. So I reckon as I was talking with Mike too. I gotta first get my remote start working. Lol. Just I'm in pa and it's 19 and too cold to open up the fuse box to check pin 1/2. If I read it correctly I have that purple wire in c1 pin 11 of the BCM under the dash. Which means all I gotta do is install new hood latch get repair kit and terminate in plug under fuse box pin 1/2.

I think. Else a fellow poster did make me a harness with 1k ohm resistor that I can terminate to pin 11 at the BCM.

We'll see. [emoji85][emoji1303]

Sounds like you’re on the right track on this. That was me that sent the wire with resistor (did you get it?). Just be aware that by grounding that circuit with the resistor, your truck can be remote started with the hood open.
