Anyone know if a Dana 44 front or a jeep rubi front would fit best? The 2500 6.4 uses a power steering pump that bolts to the driver side with its own reservoir and I’m sure it’s not to hard to bolt in the steering gear box and everything from the 2500

I'm guessing on that if @DILLIGAF does a front axle swap, it won't be a D44, it'll be a Power Wagon 9.25 with a rigged button for the elocker or a D60 maybe?

Are we poking the bear? Cause while you're in there... A solid Axle looks best with a 2500 face swap. ;)

He is so far down the rabbit hole I don't see this build ever stopping lmao. A year from now it will be a monster truck with a 36in drop box

At that point full blown power wagon axles would be fine front and rear. The super d44 from the rubicons seem to hold up fairly well. The new heavy tow 1500 uses a larger 9.75” rear which was the route I was looking as it looks fairly bolt in. And do a super 44 front with a 6 lug hub and 4.10 gears front and rear with air lockers. Rubicon’s get all the love. If I lift the truck any higher I’ll go to 37s but I’m pretty comfortable with 35s for what I do but would love to go up 2” more lift height for better clearance over obstacles but that requires a lift kit. I could do the rear box kit and do a custom front and be fine if I do SAS. But money is Not as plentiful currently. Future projects (possibly). Lol.

First part of my 8 speed swap ordered. Yes I confirm with SGA that the Durango switch would work !

125$ for the dial shifter and bezel isnt to bad.

Now if only I can find a good cheap 8 speed.

Other then cost why the Durango shifter,if you're going to use the factory style knob Ian? Are you going to mount it in the stock 8 speed location on the dash?
