I went crazy with SI. 1 bottle(15 oz) EVERY fill up and have gone through about 20 bottles so far. Never skip a bottle when filling up gas. Also always use Shell 93 V-Power Nitro. The vehicle is at 245,000 miles now and the engine has been an issue with oil consumption since it was brand new. It is safe for CATS and O2 sensors.
Jim,
You should fill in your truck profile.

What year and engine do you have?

"Oil consumption since new" what is the cause?

I don’t own RAM truck. Bad engine design with low tension piston rings. 2010-2013 Acura MDX has this flaw engine design which is well known in the Acura community and Honda Acura Corp.

If you look closely at these two photos you can see that S1 is melting or vaporizing carbon buildup layer by layers.
Are you thinking about trying redlines service chem? Is the throttle body easy to expose on that engine? I never assume anymore with crazy engine designs out there. You can shoot the can there from drivers seat with 8 ft tube. That will put xylene full strength right on the carbon. Come to think about it as much as you pull plugs, you can spray through plug hole, I'd just not over spray a little goes a long way, wouldn't want to flood it.

I have to rewatch this, how he was able to keep fluid above rings and what he was able to do with turkey baster...

I honest think the S1 can spray through the intake wouldn’t be effective if the engine is baked with heavy and crusty carbon buildup like mine. If the engine has very ligjt and fluffy carbon shoot then the spray can will do the job.

I think S1 fuel cleaner is effective because it is working overtime and dwelling and penetrating when the engine is running. The PEA is slowly dissolving the baked carbon and it burn off during the combustion process.

I had done piston soaks multiple times with Berryman B12 CHEMTOOL. Berryman B12 CHEMTOOL is far more potent and effective than seafoam. You will find lots of people using Berryman for piston soaks on YouTube especially the guy doing with the Audi SUV

Unique problem, my tank just set warning light into my last trip. I have to make it twenty miles to fuel, I'm going to use a full bottle si-1 that energy should give me at least 2 miles plus a super concentrated dose for twenty miles anyhow. Might be a long day if I have to call triple a.

I guess I should be pleased that I typically top off when I get to 1/2 tank. And that I'm not buying gas in the only state more expensive than PA.

I heard that while you are using S1 it would be a good idea to do “Italian turning “ on freeways once in a while to dislodge the carbon buildup .

"But honey, I'm just trying to clean out my pipes." :Big Laugh:
