Well when the 392 is finally finished. I’ll be going to the xpr series oil.

I am the odd "BOIRD" in this group. I change/have the oil changed every 5,000 miles and the tires rotated at the same time. I do not run hard, only up on the highway once in a while, especially with COVID. Tow twice a year, so most of my driving is Stop/Go in town and such. SO, I have changed every 5K, and of course get them tires rotated and balance checked and confirmed. YES, done at Dealership with Mopar Filter, but I do have Full Synthetic put in.
BOIRD in different condition, as I am not pushing the truck hard, but it does get Hot as Heck in the summer and that Oil working hard at 100-110 degree days and sometimes weeks straight, just a saying. I would rather spend a lil bit of $$$$$, but again, remember, I's a BOIRD.

My oil temps never really get all that hot,i run dual remote filters and a 160 thermostat,so for the most part my oil temps are usually right around 180/185'ish.

Well here, with the outside temps in the 100's, U can imagine. My oil temp will always be 206-210, a few degrees above coolant always, and I have not like U done a remote setup and/or dual stuff, or changed from 203 thermostat. But what I have works. My only real Biotch is: The poor performing AC, and there is a TSB out to fix that issue on the 2019/2020's, I just have not had done yet. 2 weeks ago, it was -1 deg F here, the like 5th coldest temp here in all times. BUT the Red Beast cranked, ran well, and even plowed through the 6" of Ice/Snow mess with no issue. (Of course no roads plowed, NO Plows Here, they Used a Road Grader to "plow" roads). Helps to have good AT3W tires. And the 6" of snow, was like 10 years of snow here in 1 night, LOL.....
ADDED: Nice looking dual filter setup there. IF I was towing a lot, at the minimum I would do a single remote for better access, but in BOIRD's AO, not needed. BUT I will continue to change every 5K, and tires rotated. The Oil may pass an analysis, but it is just too stupid hot here, just a saying. WHY I have 2 AC's for this house.

\5K kinda sweet spot, 7500 OK, but I would not go beyond 7500, unless say in the middle of a trip, but that is me.4.5k-5k for me. I don't like pushing it. Its weird still for me to go past 3k even with synthetic.

Every spring it's RL 5w30.. every fall it's RL 0w30, regardless of mileage. I drive mostly short trips to town (6 miles one way) and then stop and go traffic around town. I live by the old saying: oil is cheap...engines are expensive (relatively speaking, that is, considering the price of RL!)

If you don’t mind me asking. Where did you get the dual setup from?
It started life as a TransDapt 1227,that i upgraded the hoses and fittings to -10 (5/8") from the -8 (1/2") hoses it comes with. It's a mass produced casting,so if you have a die grinder,it doesn't hurt to clean up the internal casting flash and smooth off the sharp edges ,basically give it a port and polish job.

What's your guys thoughts on time as far as an oil change goes.I normally change oil once a year (in the spring) as that usually puts about 5,000 to 5500 miles on the oil change, but last year the truck only got just a smidge over 2300 miles put on it,so what are your guys thoughts on running Redline 5W-30 and a pair of RP filters past a year ,with very little miles on the last oil change. The majority of miles the truck does see are all highway miles, where it runs at 75+mph for 2 hours at a time, very little stop-n-go city driving. Thanks guys
Rick
